However, in those days, photography was an expensive hobby, and even with the advent of computers, scanners and the Internet, publishing photos was a pain.

It wasn't till I got my first digital camera back in the late 90s that I could do the two things I have always wanted to do with a camera - take as many pictures as I wanted, and publish them.
