I will be speaking at the National Institute of Engineering, at the Ankura 2005 techfest, on Sunday, the 8th of May. I will be speaking about the Open Source Desktop, and will address some of the myths and misconceptions about this subject.

Of course, I will use the opportunity to push my favourite cause – more innovation and involvement by students (not just in Free & Open Source) – as well.

Unfortunately, I am going to be there for only a really short period – arriving at 1pm, and leaving again at 6pm.

Pity – I love Mysore, and try to go there often. The city reminds me of the Bangalore of the mid 1980′s, before the tech-boom hit the place.
